Gday all

I went for a fish lastnight at cotaslow groyne, with my brother to go for some sharks, the second cast i was on the big rod i had out whole dead herring. Then i had a touch zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz after fighting it for 40min thinking it was a bronzy with not much fighting and a couple mad head shakes. Then landeing it was quite sad it was a eagal ray the weight of this thing would have been 15-20kg this thing was a ripper fish people watched it swim away and couldent bleave the size of it.Something you see at (Under water world) i have never caught a ray that big in my life i didnet have my camrea on me to take a photo it was fun for a work out lol.

cheers micheal :D :D

They're no shark but they're good for putting your tackle through its paces hey.

Nah, you just cut the flaps off, toss the body away, and use the flaps to make really tasty fish cakes, I,ve been eating them for years.

Been tempted to try them a couple of times but never come through on it.

They're a cool creature, I think that's why I've always bailed.
