Gday fellas!

Was down south in busselton over the wkend...

Had a fish on sunday morning on the rocks at meelup beach and didn't even manage to spot one salmon. Was there from 6-11am and had a live herring out for the entire time. Still think it is a tad early, seeing as though there have been decent sized schools spotted around the western side near wyadup and injidup. Plenty of big skippy around, managed to catch 8 and they were all close to a kilo! great fun on light tackle. There have been small schools of salmon (50 or so fish) along the beaches in front of those religious camps on bussell hwy...

A mate of mine caught 2 from scarborough beach just the other wkend on live herring and whiting! they were about 5kg...

Will be headin down for a solid week and a half of fishing over easter. I'm good mates with some of the locals down there and they tend to keep me posted on where the schools are, so should be another cracker of a season!

Cheers

Mark

Hi Ya,

My missus works with a guy who was down Hamelin way a week ago. He reported a number of nice schools passed through.

My brother & I with respective wives (one each) will be in Augusta for a fortnight from 11 April so hopefully will get into a few during that period.

Will also be chasing whiting, skippy etc in the bay, bream in the river, and anything else I get a chance to. :D :D

Let's just hope the weather is good to us.

Cheers.

Got down to Castle Rock (just the other side of Dunsborough) on Tuesday and got two...one on a bibbed minnow and the other on a softie. The fish were coming through in drips and drabs...and weren't real hungry. Had to really jerk and move the lures around to get them to bite. It's starting to happen a bit earlier this year, which makes me think that there are a greater number of fish on the way up, and possibly a real cracker of a metro season?
