gidday,we just camped at the 'drafties' camp site again this year.a very relaxing time,pitty the marron were all taken.But the joint is amoungst the jungle and has limited facilities,but hay its a great place to relax by the river.Long drop dunnies and a community kitchen,with lots of walk trails .

yer we spent 3 days/nights back there this year and had a relaxing time.although we got not many sized marron there were heaps just under the 8cm limit.used a snare only and had a great time trying to outfox the little critters,mostly you can tap them on their back with the snare and they dont seem to care.we spent a day on the other side of the river which was hard to get to but there were plenty of spots there to set the baits.saw a nice size rainbow trout caught on a spinning lure about a km down from the camp.anyway if ya want a relaxing place to go with few amenities thats the place.

yer gidday ody,a bit of a late reply but im a slacker from way back.
coming from manjimup way you go through pemberton and about 6 or so kms south ya turn onto the old vasse highway,then just before the pemberton wine centre ya chuck a lefty onto heartbreak trail.look for the signs pointing to drafty's campsite.car/4wd is ok with a camper trailer but caravan or bus etc aint advisable because the dirt track is real skinny and there aint any turn around points.bloody nice away place i reckon but its off to mangels bay for the next camp night.

p.s i failed geography at school,so if my directions get ya lost just make sure ya take some extra beers to find ya way around
